Mason has been involved almost every week with umpiring for WNC. He has represented the Club proudly and has been a great advocate for Waratah Umpires. When he hasn’t been umpiring for Waratah, he completed umpiring for NNA, representing WNC at a high level. Mason has also supported our junior umpires on Saturdays by being a support person, and was also called upon by NNA to view junior umpires for their Gold and Silver Awards.

Mason has attended NNA meetings and courses for umpires, most recently to prepare for the Finals series, where he umpired several games. When asked about how he felt about receiving his award and what he had planned next, Mason said - "I feel really excited, really happy...Hopefully at Academy Challenge I'm going to get my B Badge... [Next year] Hopefully I'm playing [in Tri Series] but I'd love to umpire Tri Series." We're excited to say that after his interview, Mason did receive his B Badge! Congratulations Mason
