The Club Spirit Award is awarded to the team who most embodies the Club values of Community, Integrity and Sportsmanship. This year's winner is our Div 1 Maes.

The Maes have been an excellent embodiment of Club Community. One player supported a junior team in a coaching role, and contributed to the Senior umpiring. Two players assisted with 23s training as needed. Many of the team arrived early on Saturdays to watch and cheer Tri-series team games. However, where the Maes really shone was in their support of their squadmates - the Hornets.

Training alongside the Hornets, they encouraged them at training and at games throughout the season. When Maes didn't make finals, they continued to train with the Hornets and cheer at their games all the way through to the Grand Final! Last but not least, Maes embraced a young Waratah player who was struggling with her confidence and encouraged her to join in at training.

Her mother reported that the support and coaching her daughter received from the Maes was pivotal to her daughter regaining her love of netball. The Maes are worthy recipients of this year's Club Spirit Award.

Congratulations Maes!
