The Spitfires:

Players - Kelly, Cassie, Courtney, Tarliana, Jordan, Ashley, Talisha, Stephanie, and Ebony.

With a strong cadre returning from 2016, the Spitfires represented Waratah Netball Club in the NNA A4 grade in 2017. Throughout the season , the Spitfires continued to refine their tactics and processes, and this culminated in an end of season winning streak against the leading teams.  This resulted in the Spitfires moving from 4th position to being the A4 Minor Premiers. Well done

Unfortunately, the Spitfires were without two of their mid-court players for the final series. Notwithstanding, they adopted some innovative options (such as moving their GS into C!) for the finals.  However with only seven players available, they could not hold off an experienced Souths team in the Preliminary Final.

Overall, it was an extra-ordinary effort to stay within 2 goals of the Souths team. From a team perspective, it was one of the most exciting games that the team has played.
